Technical Details
EdelPacta replaces the notary's bank account with an XRPL Smart Escrow powered by WASM Hooks.
Buying real estate in Switzerland today means locking millions of CHF for up to 8 weeks, paying 1 to 2% in fees, and relying on paper-based identity checks with no cryptographic guarantees. EdelPacta makes settlement atomic.
The notary mints the property as an XLS-20 NFT. The buyer locks funds in a smart escrow. The seller proves compliance using the Swiss Government's Swiyu digital identity.
A WASM Hook written in Rust then verifies five conditions simultaneously: notary signature, oracle signature, on-chain KYC credential, NFT ownership, and submitter address. If all pass, funds and title swap in a single transaction. If any condition fails, the escrow stays locked.
Settlement drops from 8 weeks to 3 seconds. Fees drop from CHF 20,000 to less than CHF 0.01.
