Description
LiquidX is a lending protocol for real-world assets built natively on the XRP Ledger. Property owners tokenize their assets, lock collateral on-chain via native XRPL escrow, and access loans without a bank, credit score, or formal payslip.
Their W3C DID anchored on-chain is their only required identity. Lenders earn 8 to 12% APY backed by real assets, with capital held directly by the ledger and released only upon validator approval.
Validators, existing notaries and legal firms, review asset documentation on-chain and earn a fee for work they already do, now with an auditable digital trail.
Every material action produces a real XRPL transaction hash, verifiable on devnet.xrpl.org. The protocol uses no smart contracts. Every primitive it needs exists natively on XRPL.
Technical Details
LiquidX is built on Next.js 15 with React 19 and TypeScript. UI uses TailwindCSS, Radix UI, Recharts, and Framer Motion. State is managed with Zustand 5 and localStorage persistence. Backend uses Supabase for auth and Postgres.
All blockchain interactions run on XRPL devnet via xrpl.js. The protocol relies on four native primitives: EscrowCreate, EscrowFinish, and EscrowCancel for capital locking enforced by ledger conditions; DIDSet for W3C identity anchored in 256 bytes; MPTokenIssuanceCreate (XLS-33) for compliant fractional asset tokenization with requireAuth, canEscrow, and canTrade flags; and LoanBrokerSet, LoanSet, and LoanPay (XLS-66) for the full loan lifecycle on-chain.
Both XLS-33 and XLS-66 amendments are confirmed active on XRPL devnet as of March 2026. If devnet is unavailable, the app falls back to simulation with a status: "simulated" badge in the UI.
